We have added / replaced a number of drives in the Storage Cluster (replacing failed drives / adding increased capacity). As a result there is (another) re-balance under way which means disk access will be impacted. Following on from Wednesday’s incident we have a better idea of how to tune the re-balance and are tuning the process to minimise the impact on live services.
We are aware of some issues accessing Glide based services currently, we believe this is related to the slower storage access speeds resulting in a Linux kernel panics on our LDAP authentication servers. Engineers are working on addressing these issues and mitigating any performance issues currently
