Following on from problems overnight with a failed security update, apps-store-1 has now been repaired and returned to service
While the server was offline for maintenance a number of API related services were unavailable and a small number of mailboxes were also offline
Under normal circumstances we would plan to offline a server before any major updates/upgrades are undertaken. On this occasion a minor patch was auto applied which then went on to cause unexpected interactions with the remainder of the cluster. API services had not been re-routed prior to the automated update which meant that when the update experienced issues and the server was quarantined, services which relied on the API were offline.
It took longer to restore/repair the server than we had anticipated and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the disruption in service
