Following on from the investigative work which has been ongoing since Monday afternoon, we have now (we believe) identified the real cause of the network problems, which is a damaged fibre / faulty optic on the link between Telehouse North and Telehouse West.
Engineers are now working to isolate and repair the faulty link and hope to have the connection stable again within the next 8-12 hours.
In the mean time we are at risk of reduced service should a fault develop with the backup link between North and West, or the alternate route from North -> East -> West should develop a fault.
We will post an All Clear once the maintenance has been completed and a suitable window has passed with no further errors on the link.
