We will be performing some minor updates to our border routers this weekend to enhance security and minimise possibilities of DDoS attacks on the borders.
These changes are minimal at this stage and should have no discernible effect, although BGP peers may notice sessions reset depending on how the sessions are configured.
We will be performing the changes on our london-1 border gateway devices on Saturday afternoon and after these have been confirmed and monitored we intend to roll the same changes out to our london-2 border gateway devices on Sunday afternoon
In the event of any issues, the load from london-1 will fail over to london-2. Should we be unhappy with the changes or results of testing we will back out the changes.
No service level impact is anticipated from these modifications
