In all of the above areas, the extremely high rainfall and extensive flooding has severely restricted access to our network apparatus and our underground infrastructure has been heavily impacted.
Our fault work stack had risen to 40,117 early this morning against 28k faults just over a week ago.
We have been directing all available resource into these areas including the use of overtime working over the Christmas period. We will continue with overtime working for the coming weekend and New Year periods in order to bring the position back to normal as quickly as possible.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will remove MBORC as soon as service can be restored to levels they were at immediately before the very recent poor weather.
We would like to thank our customers for their continued patience and consideration during this very challenging time.
Regards
