BT will be introducing a Service Protection Period beginning 18 days before the Olympics opening ceremony from 9th July through to 12th August 2012 and then between 27th August and 9th September 2012. During this period there will be targeted restrictions on large scale changes on their core IT and network services. The Service Protection Period is not the same as a ‘freeze’ when no changes are permitted to take place. It’s a disciplined approach to change management for IT services and physical infrastructure. Usual provision and repair activities for customers will proceed as normal and service level agreements with our customers will not be affected by the Service Protection Period. |
